I am Officially a Vegetarian
I am officially a vegetarian starting in January 2024. I have not eaten meat for the whole month of December 2023 and a little before that. But I am trying to be official so here I am in January 2024 to declare officially that I am vegetarian. To be vegetarian means I don't eat any type of meat and I do eat eggs and I can take fish oil capsules. A vegan does not consume any animal products, including eggs, and only consumes plant products.
Benefits of Being Vegetarian and Vegan
- Not eating meat saves a lot of animal lives.
- Not eating meat prevents animal abuse to animals who have to live in bad and/or abusive conditions before being slaughtered.
- Not eating meat is good for the environment because less cow manure is polluting rivers, lakes, and the oceans.
- Not eating meat is healthier because animals have been treated with all kinds of hormones, medications of all kinds, etc. and if you eat meat those chemicals go into your body.
- Not eating meat prevents you from eating the fear the animal felt before it died which is internalized in the meat and I read that in a book by Norman Walker who was a Doctor of Science.
- Not eating meat will save you all kinds of money.
- Not eating meat prevents the raising of animals just to be slaughtered and many or most of these animals have been given some kind of hormones to be slaughtered when they are still very young which is very inhumane to animals.
As you can see not eating meat has all kinds of beneficial benefits and if you choose to also become a vegetarian you are trying your best to have a better environment, are being a better humane person, saving a lot of money, and doing the best you can for your health. There are better ways to get protein you can eat 2 eggs for breakfast and eggs have 100% protein and many vegetables like Quinoa, for example, have more protein than meat.
