Vegetarian Versus Vegan I am officially a vegetarian starting in January 2024. I have not eaten meat for the whole month of December 2023 and a little before that. But I am trying to be official so here I am in January 2024 to declare officially that I am vegetarian. To be vegetarian means I don't eat any type of meat and I do eat eggs and I can take fish oil capsules. A vegan does not consume any animal products, including eggs, and only consumes plant products.
